Islandspree was founded in 2001, the year I had my own destination wedding in the country of my birth, Jamaica.

Although, I had been in the travel industry for over 14 years, I was still stressed out by all the planning of my own destination wedding and honeymoon, and with over two hundred guests flying into Jamaica from all over the US and Canada it was a daunting task.

I had such a challenging time finding one travel company that could put it all together for me, the bachelorette party, the bachelor party, the rehearsal dinner, the destination wedding with reception and the honeymoon, that I ended up doing it all myself; and my husband and I almost got divorced before we were even married, and then the idea was formed to have a travel service with a specialty in destination weddings and groups.
 
Along the way we have developed a knack for getting our clients to the destinations of their dreams while helping them to create lasting connections through experiences we assist in making for them.

 

Our clients have taught us the true benefits of taking a vacation, and just how important a vacation is to the health and well-being of families, individuals and couples.
